Introduction to Heritage Site

In 1922, the China & South Sea Bank set up a branch in Xiamen with one of its offices on Kulangsu. In 1934, the Kulangsu Branch of the China & South Sea Bank was set up here and ran until 1952. Aligned southwest-northeast, the office is three-story high and covers a floor area of 869 square meters with a brick-and-concrete structure. The entire building is simple in design and shows distinctive features of the times. The Longtou Road Commercial Street where it is situated is also invested by Huang Yizhu. The buildings on the street are all modern brick-concrete commercial and residential buildings.
