Introduction to Heritage Site
The publicized address is the rear building of 1 Neicuoao Road. According to the actual condition and requirements for conservation, the address is adjusted to 1-1 Neicuoao Road. Built in the 1920s, the building combines Western architectural style with Chinese architectural style. It is a symmetric red-brick building. Two columns in the middle going through the floors enhance the grandeur of the building. The porch is a polygonal space. Part of the window frames is plastered with lime. The eave is corbelled. The railings are in Chinese style. The columns are of the Ionic order. The architectural details are rich and present a strong three-dimensional effect. On the whole, the building is elegant and grand. It used to be used by the American Consulate.
