Introduction to Heritage Site
Aligned west-east, the building has a garden in the front with walls surrounding the courtyard. The two-story building is rectangular in shape with an underground damp-proof layer. The upper and lower floors are connected by arch-shaped winding corridors and above the aisle is a wooden strip ceiling. The interior is equipped with front and back parlors with symmetrical rooms on the two sides. The rooms are installed with fireplaces. The front of the roof is a platform and the back is a front-back slope roof with transoms on the two sides and two chimneys. The exterior walls in the south of the building retain the original iron hoop for erecting the flag pole. In 1864, Germany sent consuls to Xiamen with Pasedag being the first consul. The building used to serve as the office for the German Consulate General and the staff in charge of relevant affairs lived in the building.
